It is not a secret for anyone that a fulfilled person is more productive and efficient, but how can we incorporate a healthy lifestyle and stick to it when it’s hard to find the time trying to balance it between work, home, family, friends, society and even relationships?

Especially in Miami, where many come to fulfill a dream and to make their dream a reality; in order to accomplish it, most are willing to make whatever sacrifices are necessary to get one step closer to that goal; some are obligated to take multiple work shifts and some can even work nonstop for 24 hours.

Whoever knows me is aware that I have always loved exercise and a healthy lifestyle; in my daily routine I have to include some type of physical activities to feel satisfied.

The good news I have for all of you is that it can be done; there are many people out there proving it. If you want to see it with your own eyes, just take a walk. nowadays, the fitness community is everywhere in Miami and it’s surrounding areas. Statistics has shown that the fitness community keeps growing and growing; every day more people are exercising and taking care of their health. According to The National Academy of Sports Medicine, NASM: “Physical inactivity exposes adults to unnecessary risk for developing a variety of chronic diseases, disabilities, and even musculoskeletal pain. “

For me this is enough to start including a small exercise routine to my agenda, and this is without mentioning how this can better your mood and quality life. For parents, fitness is a great option to help their kids create a good habit, spend time with family (or friends), build beautiful and fun memories, and leading your children to develop a healthy environment to live in.

As a personal trainer, my first recommendation if you want to incorporate a fitness plan to your daily life, I would highly suggest you to find out what is that sport or activity that you enjoy doing it; everybody has at least one, lots of people have many. Think about your childhood, that activity you enjoyed doing, or that game you enjoyed playing that required some physical activity; I encourage you begin doing it again; but, like pursuing dreams, it has to be intentional, you got to write it down and put it in your agenda, otherwise it’s not gonna happen. Days become weeks, weeks become months, months become years and before we even noticed we have procrastinated our health for a considerable amount of time.

Why wait another day to make a change to improve your life quality?

Make a plan and go for it!
